Back by popular demand -- the Brooklyn Cultural District Tour series, co-presented by FAB FULTON and American Opera Projects (AOP)! Last year, over 200 people participated in these FREE monthly walks through Fort Greene, where they learned about the thriving cultural hub that includes venerable institutions like MoCADA, Mark Morris Dance Center and Irondale Ensemble; and also new state-of-the-art venues such as Theatre for a New Audience's Polonsky Shakespeare Center. You don't want to miss out!
Join the season's premiere tour on Saturday, April 6, and explore the past, present, and future of the district. Over the course of two hours, you will stroll through the timeless tree-lined streets of Fort Greene, past plazas and lively retail areas to view street art, new venues and where more than a dozen organizations have already made the Brooklyn Cultural District a respected arts destination for performances of every type, large and small. Adding to the historical aspect, "pop-up" performances by American Opera Projects artist Nicole Mitchell accompany the tour.
The tour is free, but space is limited and advance registration is required; CLICK HERE TO REGISTER. The group will meet at 11am in the large, open plaza area near the BAM digital marquee sign at Flatbush and Lafayette Aves.
The Walking Tours of the Brooklyn Cultural District are co-presented by American Opera Projects (AOP) and FAB FULTON.
